Site Systems Lead

As Site Systems Lead you will be responsible for the delivery, operation and improvement of the technology specific to your site (Thurrock).

The role will report into the Systems Manager and is located at the respective site.

To be successful in this role, you will be motivated by excellence, working with your colleagues in IT/Systems, Tech and Operations to ensure your site specific IT and Technology needs are met, all the while helping Gousto maintain a stable operational systems foundation for which it can continue to scale successfully.

What you’ll do

  • Be the single point of contact for Tech issues at your site.
  • Work with your local site IT Engineer to ensure stable operational IT and Systems.
  • Work with Site Operations and Management to handle any escalations over Systems and IT operations on site.
  • Work with local Site Operations and Management on any new project or initiative that requires an IT or Systems input.
  • Assist in solution implementation, taking a technical role in to resolve complex business issues.
  • Troubleshoot and fix any local site systems issues, leveraging the wider team as appropriate.
  • Supporting rollout of projects, both step changing activity and backlog items along with ensuring the new system is embedded as BAU.
  • Gathering requirements, system analysis to feed into technical / functional specifications.
  • Supporting the development and execution of test scripts to ensure JDA software consistently meets the customer’s business objectives.
  • Creating and modifying procedural and system documentation throughout the operational lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with business partners and the IT team to support operations and adhere to the SLAs and process frameworks.
  • Manage 3rd parties in relation to Tech services provided to your site, ensuring operational issues are appropriately escalated, managed and prioritised.
  • Own the roadmap for continual improvement for IT / Systems for your site.
  • Collaborate with other Site Systems Lead for learning, synergy and knowledge sharing.
  • Work with operations to plan and manage site down time as needed for hotfixes.

REQUIREMENTS

  • JDA WMS Support a must to have and must have worked in previous RP/ JDA versions.
  • Reporting SQL.
  • Experience with driving improvements in WMS performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Experience with identifying bottlenecks and bugs, and devising solutions to these problems.
  • Implementation experience deploying and maintaining WMS instances.
  • Business and Customer relationship experience.
  • Experience managing complex support issues.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Operational Systems team as Head of Solutions Architecture!

This role is a senior role which is critical to our business and is key to creating a world class supply technology platform, enabling the scaling of our business and delivering on our huge ambitions.

Reporting to the Director of Operational Systems, Head of Solutions Architecture will initially lead a small team of two Solution Architects which will then grow in line with business ambitions.

This role is critical to our business, not just by taking the ownership of the existing set of challenges but by shaping the underlying strategy and enabling the scaling of the business and delivering on increased expectations and ambition.

As Head of Solutions Architecture you will:

  • Lead on and shape the vision and solutions of our technology platform to support the growth ambitions of Gousto
  • Ensure the team delivers on ambitious and stretching OKRs
  • Shape our people and platform to support the growth ambitions of Gousto
  • Using your technical and supply chain process expertise lead on solving the most complex business problems faced by Gousto on its growth journey

  • The role will also be responsible for scaling the team in line with rapid growth of the business
  • Translate multiple challenges and opportunities into balanced solutions

You will work closely with our Tech management team as well as with our tech community – you will lead and collaborate with different teams across the business.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Shape our supply chain technology capabilities
  • Lead to ensure alignment between technology and business solutions architecture across the supply chain and operations
  • Lead the architecture and design of technology product and solutions addressing complex business problems
  • Management of the small team of two Solutions Architects
  • Assess and anticipate challenges and opportunities with the existing solutions vs. growth plans and strategic direction of the business
  • Create blueprints and frameworks for new solution development & changes to the existing products / solutions
  • Work closely with product, software engineering and delivery teams to ensure technology products and solutions are delivered and conform to our architecture principles and standards
  • Evaluate and develop new concepts and prototypes
  • Share domain expertise and influence conversations around supply chain solutions and roadmaps

REQUIREMENTS

  • Technically strong, solutions oriented leader with significant experience of solving complex technology problems in a supply-chain environment
  • Proven experience in building, growing and efficiently managing different sized teams
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, from C suite to factory-floor
  • Deep understanding of technology applications and architecture stacks within a supply chain environment (e.g. procurement tooling, ERP, WMS, MRP)
  • Experience of making business process and technical decisions against a set of challenging / overlapping priorities
  • Proven experience of applying innovative and creative thinking into delivering tangible business value
  • Ability to evolve with a rapidly changing environment and anticipate changes in technology
  • Proven track record of solving complex technology and business problems within supply chain environment
  • Pro-active, driven approach to anticipate need for change within technology and business processes depending on strategic direction of the business
  • Practical experience of working within an agile development and deployment environment

Senior Systems Engineer

The role

Operational Systems team at Gousto is a newly formed (2018/2019) team which consists of a mix of IT, consulting and supply chain professionals.

We look after Gousto key operational systems, IT service and infrastructure and on top of that. Our key objectives are to drive strategic improvements across our core supply chain processes.

We have grown from 1 to 19 people in a short period of time and took substantial new responsibilities, which resulted in Gousto leadership trust for continuous development and growth of the team.

In 2019 everyone across the team was involved in one (or many) challenging projects.

We interact with multiple parts of the business, including; software development, supply chain management and leadership on a daily basis.

We are not your typical “IT team” …

As a senior IT engineer for our WMS system you will work closely with the team to deliver WMS to a new site/sites as we continue to grow. The role will report into the Ops system manager and is a role that can be based in either Spalding or London.

To be successful in this role, you will be motivated by driving change within our technical capability across sites, Growing and developing our sites understanding of systems and use cases, working closely with our platform development teams/ tribes to drive intelligent and creative solutions to complex supply chain puzzles. All the time helping Gousto build a stable operational systems foundation for which it can continue to scale successfully.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and configure JDA WMS solution using JDA WMS Tool and technologies such as Java, PL/SQL, SQL, C,C++, JavaScript
  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable and business solutions and integrations between Gousto custom platform and WMS system
  • Solution implementation and taking a technical role in to resolve complex business issues.
  • Designing interfaces in JDA WMS
  • JDA WMS technical support analysis
  • Oracle DBA skills – able to administer and teoubleshoot Oracle Databaes
  • Supporting rollout of projects, both step changing activity and backlog items along with ensuring the new system is embedded as BAU
  • Gathering requirements, system analysis (including customised code) as well as finalisation of technical / functional specifications
  • Convert business requirements and requests into system development aligning with the overall business aim but ensuring impact and concerns are flagged / questions asks
  • Supporting the development and execution of test scripts to ensure JDA software consistently meets the customer’s business objectives
  • Creating and modifying procedural and system documentation throughout the project
  • Collaborate with business partners and IT team to support operations and adhere to the SLAs and process frameworks

REQUIREMENTS

  • JDA WMS Support a must to have and must have worked in previous RP/ JDA versions.
  • Experience with Oracle database tables and relationships
  • Reporting SQL.
  • Experience with JDA configuration platform, including the WMS RDB (Relational Database) tables used within JDA, DDA (Data Driven Application) design/creation),Oracle performance analysis, Jasper Report development and Analysis.
  • Experience with driving improvements in WMS performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Experience with identifying bottlenecks and bugs, and devising solutions to these problems

Infrastructure Engineer

Infrastructure Engineer

As an Infrastructure Engineer, joining our busy but dynamic IT team, you will be taking a leading role in:

  • Designing and establishing corporate infrastructure in newly acquired spaces based on existing design “Blueprint”. Our infrastructure typically consists of: network devices, virtualised environments, communication solutions and internet connectivity.
  • Maintaining our existing infrastructure by managing updates, upgrades, and other maintenance tasks in hardware and software areas.
  • Being the point-of-contact for infrastructure issues and requests across our corporate estate, liaising with all stakeholders to ensure status updates and resolutions are communicated efficiently.
  • Working very closely with our systems administrators to review our technology stack to ensure that it is efficient, cost-effective, and secure.
  • Proactive participation in other core IT functions such as onboardings & offboardings, support tickets resolution as well as internal and external technical queries resolution when needed.

We have a wide spectrum of services and hardware in this fast and rapidly expanding business. This is a great role for someone who is dynamic, friendly, professional, eager to learn and willing to get stuck in.

To be successful in this role, you should have excellent Cisco Meraki networks build and troubleshooting skills and solid hands-on experience with virtualised server infrastructure. Ultimately, you will ensure our hosts and networks run smoothly.

  • Good knowledge of SAN storage implementation and maintenance
  • Good VMWare maintenance experience

We’re on the hunt for a Digital Marketing Manager to join our Acquisition Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a fundamental role in driving the growth of one of the UK’s fastest expanding businesses.

You’ll report into the Head of Acquisition and will plan and execute direct response activity across all paid media channels, driving efficiencies and scaling our new customers volumes, alongside providing support on the strategy and execution of brand awareness campaigns. This role requires a strong analytical background, a bias for action, experimentation, customer-centricity and a strong thirst for results.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver our digital performance marketing activity with a focus on paid search, paid social and paid display. You’ll be measured against signup volumes targets, CPA, ROI targets and discovery opportunities (they’ll all be part of your OKRs)
  • Work alongside our brand and agency teams to plan and implement digital media plans to hit awareness and consideration targets, based on audience insights and brand growth strategy, reporting on brand awareness, lift and consideration targets
  • Manage significant budget, ensuring campaigns are optimised at all times to maximise efficiency of digital channels
  • Implement a rigorous A/B testing process, which includes discovery, technical setup of experiments and analysis of results.
  • Use and implement attribution techniques and ROI modelling to ensure campaigns are optimised for the short, mid and long term
  • Research and evaluate new growth opportunities for scaling customer acquisition
  • You’ll work in a growth squad that comprises Digital Product, UX, UI, Finance, Data Science and Analytics and CRM Growth Marketing teams that will stretch your thinking and enable you to take the most educated decisions

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in paid media, and a previous role in a high-growth start-up or scale-up environment would be beneficial
  • Proven results in growth and/or brand marketing across social, digital and programmatic media.
  • Experience working with an external media agency and supporting brand marketing is a plus.
  • Analytical and data savvy marketer
  • You promote a culture of trust, collaboration, grit, “get it done”, resourcefulness, curiosity.
  • Good knowledge and hands on experience of Paid Social and Paid Search advertising tools (Facebook Business Manager, Google Ads, Bing Ads, Google Analytics) and SQL (strongly preferable).

  • Strong communication skills and ability to clearly articulate impact; ability to influence and work cross-functionally across several internal teams.

  2. Maximise subscription adoption from the inactive base
  3. Run seasonal resurrection campaigns to drive high quality and profitable resurrections

You’ll put together a strategy and execute on it that leverages CRM, Digital Product and Brand to improve customer experience and drive orders.

  • CRM. You will take a hands-on approach to the design and build of comms touchpoints and channel strategy to target the inactive customer base.

You will lead the Resurrection Discovery Team, which is a part of the Growth Tribe (a wider cross-functional team that includes Digital Product, Tech, UX/UI, Data Science, Analytics, Finance, Insights, Marketing). You’ll be working with Digital Product Managers and Engineers to define the strongest opportunities to prioritise for driving incremental orders and improve customer experiences.

As part of the Growth team, you’ll report into the Head of Growth, and you’ll work amongst an amazing team of 6, who will support you along the way in order to drive strong decision making, develop resilience together and overwhelmingly scale growth at Gousto whilst having fun along the way.

Your success will be measured by hitting quarterly OKRs (revenue, profit, ROI) and by effective team collaboration (delivery of cross-functional projects).

REQUIREMENTS

  • Relevant experiences in some of the following fields: Marketing, CRM, Retention, Digital Product Development, Business Strategy, Analytics & Insights.
  • Strong aptitude for numbers and extreme comfort with data analysis. Experience using reporting/analytical methods in your degree or in a previous role
  • Empirical way of working. We have insights managers, data analysts, data scientists and finance analysts specifically allocated to our Growth Tribe. Exhibiting evidence based reasoning and consequent hypothesis formulation is a must.
  • Strong communication & presentation skills. Experience building strategies and communicating them across a business. An ability to build great relationships with people from across the business
  • Leadership experience. Especially in cross-functional projects where you drove change across the business.

To support our continued growth we are looking to hire a Head of Buying that will lead the team responsible for sourcing ingredients and packaging.

The team plays a key role in delivering our competitive advantage through opening the doors and introducing the best of the outside into Gousto. As Head of Buying you will lead and build our team of buyers to ensure we are sourcing the best possible materials and services at the best price not compromising on quality, service or sustainability.

You will work closely with counterparts in our food proposition, food technical, supply chain, finance and operations teams to ensure alignment between our teams and deliver against business targets and our proposition roadmap.

You will principally be based at our head office (The Shepherds Building Central, Shepherd’s Bush, London W14 0EE) with flexibility to include working from home, working from supplier or Gousto production sites for part of the week.

Core Responsibilities:

Procurement You will develop a deep understanding of our customer, product and competitive set so you can lead the teams in sourcing ingredients that set us apart from the competition.

Working with your team and employing the appropriate frameworks you will develop a strategic category plan for each area. You will lead our supplier selection, ensuring we are working with best in-class suppliers and will own key supplier relationships and initiatives. Additionally you will act as a point of escalation in supplier negotiations and issue resolution.

Identifying and delivering ongoing cost reduction initiatives to enable us to beat our budgeted KPI’s is key to success in this role. You will utilise full cost to serve methodology in our sourcing activity, building the processes and mindset within your team to make the right decisions for the business

Strategy and vision Working closely with your director you will input to the 3 year Buying strategy, measuring performance against the goals, pivoting as necessary and energising your team around the plan.

Food safety Working closely with our food technical team you will ensure all suppliers and products adhere to food safety and technical standards. Striving to continuously improve.

Sustainability Working with your team to deliver sustainability initiatives aligned to Gousto’s Sustainability pledge. Holding yourself and team accountable for delivery of initiatives such as packaging reduction, ensuring completion of full commercial assessments and gaining commitment of others.

Who you are/Experience Required:

  • Degree educated. CIPS desirable but not essential.

  • Excellent negotiator – with proven experience of negotiating with a broad range of suppliers (blue chip to start ups)
  • Procurement – strong buying background ideally gained in food

Who you are?

What you’ll do

With the support of the team, you have full ownership and accountability for, but not limited to, all of the below:

  • Quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting
    • Implementation of a quarterly forecasting process, leading the annual budget and working with all stakeholders to ensure on time, high quality deliverables.
  • Financial Modelling and corporate finance support
    • Owning and developing existing financial models to ensure production of timely insight to the business and the Board and accurate business forecasts for capex and cash as well as long-term plans.
    • Provide analysis to support key business initiatives and M&A work, including company valuations.
  • Processes and Systems implementation
    • Developing, documenting and implementing scalable FP&A processes and controls to support significant company growth.
    • Ownership over implementation of a robust FP&A system to support company growth
  • Monthly BAU Analysis and Reporting
    • Ownership of monthly management accounts including KPI reporting in addition to the P&L, BS and Cash Flow Statement. In depth understanding of trial balance prepared by the Financial Control team and reporting this to the Leadership team.
    • Ownership of scenario modelling and latest view communications to the leadership team – finger on the pulse of the business P&L and in depth analysis of any changes.
    • Ownership of Weekly Trading – working with wider business to understand initiatives and how these will drive value for the customer and the business.
    • Working with financial control and tribe finance teams on variance analysis across the P&L for actuals, forecasts and budgeted numbers and reporting findings to wider business and management teams.
    • Ownership of Gross and Net Margin analysis and reporting by location.
  • Business Partnering
    • Acting as a Business Partner advising, challenging and building rapport with senior stakeholders.
    • Delivering functional insight to identify and support opportunities for operational efficiency and drive operational planning.

Factory Finance Manager

We have an exciting opportunity within the team for a new Finance Manager to join our Commercial Finance Business Partnering team, partnering Supply and Operations!

Working within the cross-functional tribe team that we call SUPPLY, the Commercial Finance Business Partnering team works closely with all parts of the business to drive commercial decision-making across the supply and operations space.

As part of the Commercial Finance Business Partnering team, you will report directly into the Head of Finance for Supply & Operations as the Factory Finance Manager for the new site we’re building in Thurrock. You will work closely with the Supply & Operations teams as well as the rest of the Finance and Analytics team.

In the initial period for this role, you will be involved in the key strategic projects that will evolve our single site operation into a multisite operation, focusing on the set-up and launch of our factory based in Thurrock. When the new factory opens in Thurrock in summer 2021, you will be responsible for the financial business partnering for the site’s operation. Your success will be measured by hitting quarterly OKRs, by team engagement (own direct reports and colleagues), and by impact across the wider business.

Your impact will be huge in driving the business forward and we’re excited to see you:

  • Be the business partner for the Thurrock set-up project, supporting the team to set up our new site by Summer 2021
  • Be the finance business partner for key strategic factory CapEx, managing the reporting, insight, and forecasting for these budgets.
  • Develop and design multisite financial processes and reporting requirements to enable successful and consistent processes in all of our sites
  • Fully embed yourself in the Supply Tribe, to become the go-to person for Thurrock site financial business partnering
  • Challenge the Thurrock Operations and Supply teams to move the needle on KPIs, and perform in line with expectations
  • Work with the Supply Tribe and Finance Team to ensure the wider impacts of future proposition changes are assessed and taken into account for the operation in Thurrock
  • Take the lead on commercial analysis and insight for the Thurrock operation, enabling the Thurrock Management Team to make key strategic decisions, and deliver the Budget
  • Drive forecast accuracy for Thurrock budgets and KPIs, sharing a reliable forecast and action plan on a weekly/monthly basis with senior management, and proactively identifying and addressing key risks
  • Lead the Thurrock annual budget and quarterly reforecast processes
  • Support Head of Finance for Supply & Operations with multisite strategic projects

REQUIREMENTS
